One Size FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 14” around at top edge x 18” long
MATERIALS 2 Hanks BERROCO JASPER (50 grs), #3831 Rojo Coralita Straight knitting needles, sizes 7 (4.50 mm) and 9 (5.50 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
GAUGE 18 sts = 4”; 26 rows = 4” in St st on larger needles TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE
NOTE Jasper stripes naturally. This means that the stripes will not match up at seams
ARM WARMERS (Make 2) With smaller straight needles, cast on 41 sts. Row 1 (RS): K1, * p1, k1, rep from * across. Row 2: P1, * k1, p1, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 4” from beg, end on WS. Change to larger needles and work in St st until piece measures 5” from beg, end on WS. Inc Row (RS): K1, M1k, k to last st, M1k, k1 – 43 sts. Rep this inc every 1 1/4” 11 times more – 65 sts. Work even until piece measures 17” (or 1” less than desired finished length), end on WS. Change to smaller straight needles and work in ribbing same as for lower edge until piece measures 18” or desired length, end on WS. Bind off all sts loosely.
FINISHING Steam pieces lightly. Sew back seams.
