Circumference – approximately 36” around

MATERIALS

1 Ball each BERROCO PURE MERINO (50 grs), #8532 Brick (A), #8540 Salmon (B) and #8546 Teaberry (C) or colors to match your T-shirt.

Crochet hook, size 4.50 mm (G) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Recycled or new long sleeve T-shirt with wide neck.

COLLAR

MOTIF (Make 8 changing the order of colors)

With crochet hook, using A, ch 6.  Join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1:  Ch 5 (counts as 1 dc and ch 2), * dc in ring, ch 2, rep from * 10 times more, join with a sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-5 – 12 ch-2 spaces.  Fasten off.  Do not turn.

Rnd 2:  Join B with a sl st in any ch-2 space and work 3 sc in each ch-2 space around, join with a sl st in first sc – 36 sc’s.  Do not turn.

Rnd 3:  Ch 1, working through back loops, work 1 sc in each sc around, join with a sl st in ch-1 – 36 sc’s.  Fasten off.  Do not turn.

Rnd 4:  Join C with a sl st in any sc, ch 5 (counts as 1 dc and ch 2), * dc in next sc, ch 2, rep from * around, join with a sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-5 – 36 ch-2 spaces.  Do not turn.

Rnd 5:  Ch 1, work 2 sc’s in each ch-2 space around, join with a sl st in ch-1 – 72 sc’s.  Fasten off.

FINISHING

Place 8 motifs in a circle.  Leaving 17 sc’s open on each motif at inner edge of circle, sew 7 sc’s of adjoining motifs tog until all motifs are joined.

Neck Edging:  With RS facing, using crochet hook, join Rose in center sc of any motif on inner edge of circle.

Rnd 1:  Ch 1, * work 1 sc in each of the next 3 sc’s, ch 2, skip 2 sc’s, dc in next sc, ch 2, skip 2 sc’s, tr in joining between 2 motifs, ch 2, skip 2 sc’s, dc in next sc, ch 2, skip 2 sc’s, sc in each of the next 4 sc’s, rep from * around, join with a sl st in ch-1.

Rnd 2:  Ch 1, * sc in each of the next 3 sc’s, ch 3, sl st in 1st st of ch (picot made), 2 sc’s in ch-2 space, sc in dc, picot, 2 sc’s in ch-2 space, sc in tr, picot, 2 sc’s in ch-2 space, sc in dc, picot, 2 sc’s in ch-2 space, sc in next sc, picot, sc in each of the next 3 sc’s, picot, rep from * around, join with a sl st in ch-1.  Fasten off.

Note:  There should be 41 sc’s at lower edge of each motif.

Lower Edging:  With RS facing, using crochet hook, join Rust in joining of any 2 motifs.

Rnd 1:  Ch 8 [counts as 1 dtr (double triple) and ch 3], * skip 5 sc’s, tr in next sc, ch 5, skip 5 sc’s, dc in next sc, ch 5, skip 5 sc’s, sc in each of the next 7 sc’s, ch 5, skip 5 sc’s, dc in next sc, ch 5, skip 5 sc’s, tr in next sc, ch 3, skip 5 sc’s, dtr in joining between 2 motifs, ch 3, rep from * around, skip 5 sc’s, join with a sl st in 5th ch of beg ch-8.  Fasten off.

CUFFS (Make 2)

With Rose, ch 39, join with a sl st being careful not to twist sts.

Rnd 1:  Ch 1, * sc in each of the next 3 ch’s, ch 3, join with a sl st in 1st ch (picot made), rep from * around, join with a sl st in ch-1 – 39 sc’s.  Fasten off.  Turn piece over so that the other side of foundation chain is at the top.

Rnd 2:  Join Orange in any ch, ch 1, then work 1 sc in each st of foundation ch around, join with a sl st in ch-1 – 39 sc’s.  Do not turn.

Rnd 3:  Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and ch 1), skip 1 sc, * dc in next sc, ch 1, skip 1 sc, rep from * around, join with a sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-4.  Fasten off.  Do not turn.

Rnd 4:  Join Rust with a sl st in any ch-1 space, ch 1, * (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc) all in next ch-1 space (shell made), sc in next ch-1 space, rep from * around, end shell in last ch-1 space, join with a sl st in ch-1.  Fasten off.

ASSEMBLY

Sew yoke to top of T-shirt with matching thread.  Sew cuff to bottom of sleeves.
