Knit in super-soft Chinchilla, this cap and scarf set will soothe and warm chemotherapy patients in high style. Click here for crocheted version.


One size fits most.


BERROCO CHINCHILLA (50 grs), 1 ball #5551 Debutante Lavender for Cap, 1 ball for Scarf.
1 set double pointed needles (dpn), size 9 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE for Cap.
Straight knitting needles, size 9 for Scarf.
1 St Marker.


13 sts = 4"; 18 rows = 4" in St st.


With dpn’s, cast on 3 sts. Inc 1 st in each st across – 6 sts. Divide sts on all 3 needles with 2 sts on each needle. Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up. Knit 1 rnd.
Next Rnd: Inc 1 st in each st – 12 sts. Knit 1 rnd.
Inc Rnd: * K1, inc 1 st in next st, rep from * around – 18 sts. Knit 1 rnd. Continue to inc 6 sts every other rnd, having 1 more st between incs each time until there are 60 sts on needles. Work even in St st (k every rnd) until cap measures 6" from beg. Work even in k1, p1 ribbing until yarn is almost gone. Bind off all sts loosely in ribbing.


With straight needles, cast on 15 sts. Work even in St st for 3", end on WS.
Next Row (RS): K6, bind off 3 sts, k6.
Following Row: P6, cast on 3 sts, p6. Work even in St st until scarf measures approximately 22" and yarn is almost gone. Bind off all sts.
To wear, wrap scarflet around neck, tucking long end through slit from WS to RS.
