FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approximately 8” across x 5 1/2” high MATERIALS GAUGE NOTE 1 When changing colors, hold yarn to the left and pick up new color from underneath. This twists yarn so there are no holes. When carrying yarn across more than 3 sts, twist colors tog on WS to prevent long loops. NOTE 2 Bag is worked in the round from the top down. BAG With circular needle, using A, cast on 80 sts. Join, being careful not to twist sts. Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up. Purl 2 rnds. Join B and purl 1 rnd. With A, purl 1 rnd. Work in St st (k EVERY rnd), following chart until 29 rnds have been completed. Work even in St st with A until piece measures 5 3/4” from beg. Bind off. FINISHING Fold bag flat and sew bound-off edge for bottom of bag. Turn bag inside out. With bottom of bag facing you, take end of bottom seam at each side and fold in 1 1/2”. Sew end to bottom seam. Turn bag right-side out. Sew in zipper.
