To avoid unwanted patterning when working with Deja Vu, we recommend using two balls alternately, working two rows with each ball.
Back and front of this garment are each knit in 2 panels then seamed tog. All seams except those joining sleeves to body are worked from right side with a running st so that seams show.
To measure length on this garment, flatten out rolled edges and measure from beg.
Measurements given in schematic are after seams are sewn. Each panel is actually 1/2" wider to allow for a 1/4" seam on each side.
Panel 1: With straight needles, using B, cast on 19(22-25) sts. Work even in St st for 1", end on WS. Beg with a p row, work even in Reverse St st until piece measures 28-1/2(29-29-1/2)" from beg, end on WS. Bind off all sts.
Panel 2: With straight needles, using A, cast on 47(50-53) sts. Work same as for Panel 1. With wrong sides of panels tog, seam lengthwise as shown in schematic with running st so seam forms a ridge on RS.
Panel 3: With straight needles, using B, cast on 47(50-53) sts. Work same as for Panel 1 until piece measures 26-1/2(27-27-1/2)" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Neck: Work 8 sts, join another ball of B and bind of next 14 sts, work to end. Working both sides at once, dec 1 st at each neck edge EVERY row 4 times. When piece measures 28-1/2(29-29-1/2)" from beg, bind off 4 sts at right side of neck and 21(24-27) sts at left side of neck.
Panel 4: With straight needles, using A, cast on 19(22-25) sts. Work same as for Panel 1. Seam panels tog same as for back.
With straight needles, using C, cast on 28 sts. Work in St st for 1", end on WS. Beg with a p row, work in Reverse St st, inc 1 st each side every 4th row 0(0-2) times, every 6th row 0(4-10) times, every 8th row 4(6-0) times, then every 10th row 4(0-0) times 44(48-52) sts. Work even until sleeve measures 18-1/2(18-1/2-17-1/2)" from beg, end on WS. Bind off all sts.
Note: Pocket is worked from top to bottom.
With straight needles, using C, cast on 22 sts. Work in St st for 1", end on WS. Beg with a p row, work in Reverse St st until pocket measures 6-1/2" from beg, end on WS. Bind off all sts.
Sew shoulder seams tog in same manner as panels.
Neckband: With RS facing, using circular needle and C, beg at center back neck, pick up and k11 sts to left shoulder seam, 7 sts along left front neck edge, 14 sts across front neck edge, 7 sts along right front neck edge and 11 sts across remaining back neck edge 50 sts. Mark for beg of round and carry marker up. Work even in St st (k EVERY round) for 2". Bind off all sts. Measure down 7-1/2(8-8-1/2)" from shoulder seams on back and front and mark for armholes. Sew in sleeves between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams in same manner as shoulders. Pin pocket to Panel 3 of front with lower edge 2-1/2" above lower edge of garment and side edge 2-1/2" in from right side seam. Sl st in place, allowing 1" St st band at top to roll back to RS.
