in Chinchilla and Mohair Classic. Pillow in reversible stripes with lap throw.

FINISHED SIZE
Throw - 34" x 53" (Not including fringe).
Pillow - 20" x 20" square.

MATERIALS
BERROCO CHINCHILLA (50 grs), 15 balls #5101 Vanilla (A) for throw, 5 balls for pillow.
BERROCO MOHAIR CLASSIC (43 grs), 12 balls #B8233 (B) for throw, 3 balls for pillow.
29" length circular knitting needle, size 9 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Crochet hook, size 5.50 mm (I).
20" square knife-edge pillow form.

GAUGE
17 sts = 4"; 6 rows = 1" in Pat St.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

NOTE
There is no right or wrong side to this Pat St. One side is horizontally striped, the other vertically. Choose your favorite.

PAT ST
Row 1: With B, k 1, sl 1 WYIF, k 1, * p 1, k 1, sl 1 WYIF, k 1, rep from * across.
Row 2: With B, p 1, sl 1 WYIB, p 1, * k 1, p 1, sl 1 WYIB, p 1, rep from * across. Return to beg of row just worked.
Row 3: With A, p 1, k 1, p 1, * sl 1 WYIB, p 1, k 1, p 1, rep from * across.
Row 4: With A, k 1, p 1, k 1, * sl 1, WYIF, k 1, p 1, k 1, rep from * across. Return to beg of row just worked.
Rep these 4 rows for Pat St.

2 - LAP THROW
With circular needle, using A, cast on 147 sts. Turn and join B to beg of cast-on row. Work even in Pat St until piece measures 53" from beg, end on Row 4. Bind off with A.

FRINGE
Cut 1 16" long strand each of A and B. Put strands tog and fold in half. With Crochet hook, draw center of strands through first st of cast-on edge of throw, forming a lp. Pull ends of fringe through this lp. In this manner, make fringe in every st across entire cast-on and bound-off edges of throw. Trim fringe to even off, if necessary. Steam throw lightly.

1 - PILLOW (Make 2)
With circular needle, using A, cast on 87 sts. Work same as for throw until piece measures 20" from beg, end on Row 4. Bind off with A.

FINISHING
Steam pieces lightly.
Note: Pillow was designed to be assembled with a different side of Pat St showing on each side of pillow. You may prefer to have both sides the same.Place 1 pillow piece on top of pillow form and 1 underneath. Pin edges tog. Sew 4 sides of pillow tog with running st.
