BERROCO SENSUWOOL® (50 grs), 28(29-30-31) balls #6631 Oregano.
Straight knitting needles, size 7 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Cable needle (cn).
4 St Markers

GAUGE
6 sts = 1"; 7 rows = 1" in Rib Pat.
48 sts = 4-3/4”; 7 rows = 1" across Cable Panel.

Row 1 (RS): K 4, * p 5, k 4, rep from * across.
Row 2: P 4, * k 5, p 4, rep from * across.
Rep these 2 rows for Rib Pat.

CABLE PANEL (Worked across 48 sts)
Row 1 (RS):
P 2, (k 3, p 2) 4 times, k 4, (p 2, k 3) 4 times, p 2.
Row 2 and all WS rows: K 2, (p 3, k 2) 4 times, p 4, (k 2, p 3) 4 times, k 2.
Rows 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 13: Rep Row 1.
Row 15: P 2, sl 10 sts onto cn and hold in BACK, k 3, p 2, k 3, * sl last 2 sts at left end of cn onto LH needle and p these 2 sts *, k 3, p 2, k 3 from cn, p 2, k 4, p 2, sl 10 sts onto cn and hold in FRONT, k 3, p 2, k 3, rep between *’s once, k 3, p 2, k 3 from cn, p 2.

Row 2: P 0(3-0-0), k 3(5-3-0), work Row 2 of Rib Pat to first marker, work Row 2 of Cable Panel to next marker, work Row 2 of Rib Pat to next marker, work Row 2 of Cable Panel to last marker, work Row 2 of Rib Pat over 13(13-22-31) sts, k 3(5-3-0), p 0(3-0-0). Work even in pat as established until piece measures 18" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 12(12-14-18) sts at beg of the next 2 rows. Work even in pat as established on 153(163-167-171) sts until armholes measure 8-1/2(9-9-1/2-10)”, end on WS.
Shape Shoulders and Neck: Bind off 11(12-11-13) sts, work until there are 53(57-60-60) sts on RH needle, join another ball of yarn and bind off center 25 sts for neck, work to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 11(12-11-13) sts at beg of the next row, then bind off 11(12-12-12) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then bind off 10(11-12-12) sts at beg of the next 6 rows. AT THE SAME TIME, bind off 3 sts from each neck edge 4 times.

LEFT FRONT

Row 1 (RS): K 0(3-0-0), p 3(5-3-0), work Row 1 of Rib Pat across 13(13-22-31) sts, place marker, work Row 1 of Cable Panel across 48 sts, place marker, work Row 1 of Rib Pat across 22 sts, p 5, (k 1, p 1) twice, k 2.
Row 2: (K 1, p 1) 3 times, k 5, work Row 2 of Rib Pat to first marker, work Row 2 of Cable Panel to last marker, work Row 2 of Rib Pat across 13(13-22-31) sts, k 3(5-3-0), p 0(3-0-0). Work even in pat as established until piece measures 18" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armhole: Bind off 12(12-14-18) sts at beg of the next row. Work even on 85(90-92-94) sts until armholes measure 8-1/2(9-9-1/2-10)”, end on WS.
Shape Shoulders and Collar: Bind off 11(12-11-13) sts at beg of the next row, then, at beg of every RS row, bind off 11(12-12-12) sts once, then bind off 10(11-12-12) sts 3 times. Work even on 33 sts of collar for 4", end on WS. Bind off all sts in Rib Pat.

RIGHT FRONT
Work to correspond to left front, reversing Pat St Placement and all shaping.

SLEEVES
With size 7 needles, cast on 92 sts.
Pat St Placement
Row 1 (RS): Work Row 1 of Rib Pat across 22 sts, place marker, work Row 1 of Cable Panel across 48 sts, place marker, work Row 1 of Rib Pat to end.
Row 2: Work Row 2 of Rib Pat to first marker, work Row 2 of Cable Panel to last marker, work Row 2 of Rib Pat to end. Work in pat as established, inc 1 st each side every 4th row 0(1-10-19) times, then every 6th row 7(17-11-5) times, then every 8th row 8(0-0-0) times, working incs into Rib Pat as sts become available. Work even on 122(128-134-140) sts until sleeve measures 18(18-18-1/2-19)”, end on WS. Bind off all sts.

FINISHING
Steam pieces. Sew shoulder seams. Sew bound-off edges of collar tog. Sew inside edge of collar to back neck edge, centering seam. Sew in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams.
