SIZES
Directions are for women’s size Small. Changes for sizes Medium, Large and X Large are in parentheses.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust - 40(44-48-54)”.
Length - 22-1/2(22-1/2-23-23-1/2)”.

MATERIALS
BERROCO CHINCHILLA (50 grs), 9(10-10-11) balls #5363 Midnight (MC).
BERROCO GLACE (50 grs), 1 hank #2363 Midnight (CC).
Straight knitting needles, sizes 6 and 8 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
16" length circular knitting needle, size 6.
1 Stitch marker.

GAUGE
3 sts = 1"; 5 rows = 1" in St st with MC.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

BACK
With larger needles, using MC, cast on 60(66-72-81) sts. K 4 rows, then work even in St st until piece measures 13" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 6(6-6-7) sts at beg of the next 2 rows. Work even on 48(54-60-67) sts until armholes measure 8-1/2(9-9-1/2-10)”, end on WS.
Shape Shoulders and Neck: Bind off 4(6-6-7) sts at beg of the next 2 rows. Next Row: Bind off 5(5-6-7) sts, k until there are 6(6-7-8) sts on right-hand needle, join another ball of MC and bind off center 18(20-22-23) sts for neck, k to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 5(5-6-7) sts at beg of the next 3 rows. AT THE SAME TIME, dec 1 st at each neck edge once.

FRONT
Work same as for back until armholes measure 6-1/2(7-7-1/2-8)”, end on WS.
Shape Neck: K 20(22-24-27) sts, join another ball of MC and bind off center 8(10-12-13) sts for neck, k to end. Working both sides at once, dec 1 st at each neck edge every RS row 6 times 14(16-18-21) sts each side. When armholes measure 8-1/2(9-9-1/2-10)”, end on WS. Shape shoulders same as for back.

SLEEVES
With smaller straight needles, using CC, cast on 36(38-40-42) sts.
Row 1 (RS): * K 1TBL, p 1, rep from * across.
Row 2: * K 1, p 1, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows for 1", end with Row 2. Change to larger needles and MC. Work in St st, inc 1 st each side every 8th row 0(0-5-5) times, then every 10th row 8(8-4-4) times. Work even on 52(54-58-60) sts until sleeve measures 20(20-20-20-1/2)” from beg, end on WS. Bind off all sts.

FINISHING
Steam pieces lightly (See instructions on page 1). Sew shoulder seams.
Neckband: With RS facing, using circular needle and CC, beg at left shoulder seam, pick up and k 18 sts along left front neck edge, pick up and k 9(11-13-15) sts across front neck edge, pick up and k 18 sts along right front neck edge, pick up and k 2 sts along right back neck edge, pick up and k 21(23-25-27) sts across back neck edge, pick up and k 2 sts along left back neck edge - 70(74-78-82) sts. Mark for beg of round and carry marker up.
Round 1: * K 1TBL, p 1, rep from * around.
Round 2: * K 1, p 1, rep from * around. Rep these 2 rounds for 1". Bind off in ribbing. Sew in sleeves. Sew top 2" of sleeve edges to bound-off underarm sts. Sew side and sleeve seams.
